Do you know what this week is? Not ONLY do we have Friday the 13th, February 10th is Extraterrestrial Culture Day. That gives me not one, but TWO ways to avoid plan programs around themes other than Valentine’s Day, which can be a bit limiting with tweens and teens.
In honor of Extraterrestrial Culture Day, I’ve put together a movie list of my favorite films that have worked extremely well. Create a program with gummy snacks, popcorn, and otherworldly crafts for a fun alternative to more traditional activities this week, and give your teens a space to get away from the hearts and flowers.
*Please make sure that you have umbrella viewing rights to show any movie at your library. It is not worth being fined or worse over a movie.*
