A large focus of A Geek in Librarian’s Clothing is tech, geek, programming, and other wonderful things that come about. Another large focus that I have shifted aside for a while recently has been book reviews. It’s not like there’s been no reading going on- quite the opposite, in fact. Aside from work for the Lil’ Maverick committee, last I looked there are over fifty (yes, 5-0) eARCs waiting on my ereader to be reviewed- and those are the ones that I’ve finished and WANT to review. There are many more that I’m in the middle of, or that I currently cannot review for various reasons.
And we’re not talking physical copies of books. That would put it into triple digits.
So, I have a very important announcement to make.
I am pleased to announce the first ever Fall of the Pages book review event.
WHAT: First ever Fall of the Pages book review event
WHEN: November 2, 2015- January 1, 2016
DETAILS: during the time frame, every weekday will have a book review post published. Additional posts may be released, but the focus for the next few months will be to catch up on the backlog of book reviews that need to be completed and published before they become outdated.
Note: while I know that all good, great, and raving reviews are helpful to authors, they aren’t necessarily helpful to teens and librarians. Additionally, the books currently queued are more recent books, and as such should be viewed in a timely fashion.
