This time of year it seems I’m always putting together playlists for work. We need a playlist for storytimes, we need one for afterschool programs, or for the after school camp’s activities. Right now I’m working on our annual Trunk or Treat/Trail or Treat, which is when we have games and activities for the kids one night of the week before Halloween: city agencies and community groups bring out their vehicles, decorate their cars, and set up tents around the walking paths, and the kids “trunk or treat” their way around the parking lot and walking paths.
Inside the library we have games for the smaller kids, and always have fun music playing in the background. Here’s my Halloween party playlist- what would you add?
- Rockwall- Somebody Watching Me
- Michael Jackson- Thirller
- Blue Oyster Cult- Don’t Fear the Reaper
- Ray Parker, Jr.- Ghostbusters
- Bobby Pickett & The Crypt Keepers– The Monster Mash
- Rocky Horror Picture Show- The Time Warp
- Donovan– Season of the Witch
- Marilyn Manson- This is Halloween
- Oingo Boing- Dead Man’s Party
- Warren Zevon- Werewolves of London
- Steve Wonder- Superstition
- The Clovers- Love Potion #9
- Harry Belefonte- Jump the Line
- Screamin’ Jay Hawkins- I Put a Spell on You
